I have just left sky broadband and gone… I have just left sky broadband and gone back to BT. I have gone from constant dropping out of WiFi and download speeds of around 7mb to a very stable connection and 60mb download with BT! All on the same line! So all the crap Sky kept telling me for the reasons it wouldnt work were just lies.
it's totally random as to which devices drop out at which times. No lights change on the router. It seems to occasionally happen when moving to another room but can also just happen when in the same room as the router and not moving. Hi, We moved house back in February, and got a new Sky Q router around April time, and the we have struggled since with the broadband connection dropping on various devices, laptop, mobile, TV and Nest smart thermostat. We havent had an engineer out as yet, hopefully providing the router stats For the past month now the broadband in the house has been dropping connection it does it every hour or so. I rang up Sky to see what the problem could be and they said for us to change the micro filter which we did, I got given the new Sky Hub by a friend and still the broadband keeps losing connection. On doing a speed test on both systems. The new TP link system is constantly good giving me above 35-40 mbps all across the house over wireless , the sky network is constantly still dropping out and am only getting between 0 and 20mbps over wireless this includes the 3 sky boosters we have which are supposed to help and keep the signal boosted.
