May 11, 2018 · IE 11 does not permit Norton Identity Safe to properly fill username and password to enter a given site When I select the site to open in Norton Identity Safe, the fields appear to be filled, but it won't allow me to continue to open the site.
The problem: To completely uninstall Norton Identity Safe is not always that simple, the default uninstaller that came with the program always fails to remove all the components of Norton Identity Safe. For example, the registry entries that created during the program installation are always left inside the computer even you perform the regular Yesterday, again it was no longer possible to open the identity safe although the Auto Protect feature was unaffected. The recommended fix does not work and I still have no access to the safe, except now I cannot see the Safe Login Server. Someone at Norton needs to start testing changes thoroughly before releasing them on their customers. I was able to get Identity Safe to work with Chrome as follows: I disabled the Identity Safe extension I was using, version 1.xx - which stopped working with Chrome. Then I searched for Norton Identity Safe in Chrome extensions and added the later extension version which is version 5.0.0.347. It works a bit differently but it does work.
